Low Emission Vehicle Recharging Strategy
Improving local air quality by reducing emissions from road traffic is a priority for Lewisham. Providing an accessible network of electric vehicle charging points will play a vital role in facilitating the uptake of electric vehicles.
Lewisham has drafted its first Low Emissions Vehicle Strategy detailing how we intend to promote low emission vehicle use and implement the supporting infrastructure required to charge these vehicles. The overall vision for the strategy is:
To ensure that all of Lewisham’s residents, businesses and visitors are within 500m of a charging point by 2020, with a range of options available that remain fit for purpose and encourage further uptake of low emission vehicles.
The consultation runs until 13 August and is open to all:
Feedback to this consultation will enable the borough to ensure we are directing our time and resources in the right direction.
